Valuing CME/CPD
The 18th Annual European CME Forum took place 5–7 November 2025 at the Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground in Manchester, UK.
The full programme can be seen here.
The theme this year was "Valuing CME/CPD" which was explored from a number of angles with a special focus on our "learners". The overall aim of the meeting is to review the current status of CME/CPD and provide practical guidance and education on developments, best practices and emerging themes, to help us reflect on and improve CME/CPD practices among education providers from medical societies, professional education providers, regulators, CME accreditors and supporting pharma companies.
In addition to the usual updates in best practices in educational design, AI, accreditation, pharma funding, CME around the world, and incorporating the patient voice, we had three new topics for this year's meeting:
- The voice of the learner
- Using physician performance and patient outcomes data in CME/CPD in Europe
- UK and European compliance challenges

The next meeting will be in Schiphol, Netherlands, 11-13 November 2026.
